Trademark Practice

Trademarks, which have been called the “fingerprints of commerce,” have been central to the firm's practice since its inception in 1919. Our trademark practice is distinguished from other firms in that we take a creative, problem-solving approach to the entire process, from trademark selection through registration and renewal.

To help clients assess the availability of prospective marks, Senniger Powers employs a wide variety of subscriber-based as well as Internet-based searching tools. We also use state-of-the-art docketing software and techniques to monitor our clients’ trademark portfolios, which cumulatively encompass more than 5,000 trademark applications and registrations in the United States and abroad.

In addition to trademark prosecution and maintenance, Senniger Powers’ trademark attorneys counsel clients on a variety of topics, including infringement risks, combating infringement and dilution, domain name registration and use of trademarks on the Internet.
