Professional Summary
Paul Fleischut is a partner in the firm's Chemical and Life Sciences practice group, and currently serves as the Group Leader of our Trademark & Copyright practice. He has been with the firm since his graduation from law school in 1990, and focuses his practice on patent and trademark advice and prosecution matters. In the patent area, Mr. Fleischut's practice is primarily in the areas of materials and chemistry, such as wear- and corrosion-resistant alloys and surface treatments, performance chemistry for semiconductor, microelectronics, and functional plating applications, plastic films, and ceramics used in medical applications. In trademarks, he counsels clients on trademark selection, infringement and enforcement issues, and secures rights in the US and internationally. He is attorney of record on more than 1000 trademark applications and registrations in the US Trademark Office. He is a frequent author and presenter on intellectual property and legal ethics topics. The Missouri University of Science & Technology awarded him an honorary professional degree in metallurgical engineering in 2011.
