Google Books Decision Delayed
After a five-hour hearing on February 18, Judge Denny Chin has delayed ruling on the proposed Google Books settlement. Judge Chin told the participants he would not be making an immediate ruling on the settlement, adding that he was still digesting all of the "voluminous materials" that have been submitted. The materials address "recurring themes" of access, fair use, and privacy. A ruling is not expected for several weeks.
