Haitian Relief Effort Supported

On January 12, a 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck Haiti near the capital of Port-au-Prince, resulting in massive destruction and loss of life. This morning the same area was struck by a powerful 6.1-magnitude aftershock. The American Red Cross and other relief agencies are working around the clock to respond to the crisis. Senniger Powers, along with law firms nationwide, is donating to the relief efforts. Managing Partner Keith Rabenberg says, "We have a humanitarian responsibility to do whatever we can to alleviate the tremendous suffering of the Haitian people. The best way to do that is by offering financial support to the American Red Cross or other relief agency. The Red Cross has already delivered over 500 tons of medical supplies, blankets, and other items, but the need is overwhelming." It is estimated that the January 12 earthquake killed 200,000 people, injured 250,000 people, and left 1.5 million homeless.
