Committee Report Filed on Patent Reform Legislation

A report on the Patent Reform Act of 2009 was filed on May 12, 2009 by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.). The report includes a summary of the bill, its legislative history and a cost estimate. Senator Leahy said the Act is now ready for Senate consideration and he hopes "the Senate leadership will schedule a vote on this important legislation as soon as possible." He adds that the Patent Reform Act has received bipartisan support.
