Mr. Keil's practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the chemical, life sciences and related fields, both in the United States and abroad. His client counseling responsibilities regularly require him to render assessments regarding patentability, patent enforcement, freedom-to-operate and other intellectual property issues.

His experience includes obtaining patent protection for innovations in chemical engineering process design and control, catalysis, material separation, energy recovery, waste treatment, pharmaceutical synthesis and agricultural chemicals and methods.

Mr. Keil received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1988, where he graduated magna cum laude. During his undergraduate studies, he was a member of Golden Key National Honor Society, and was awarded the G. Ellsworth Huggins Undergraduate Award and 3M and Conoco scholarships in Chemical Engineering.

Mr. Keil is a member of the Missouri Bar Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (Patent, Trademark and Copyright Section Steering Committee).
