Professional Summary
Mr. Agrawal concentrates his law practice in the areas of intellectual property based transactions, licensing, and portfolio management. Over the years, Mr. Agrawal has developed and managed a number of patent portfolios. In addition to preparing and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications in electrical, computer, biomedical, and related fields, Mr. Agrawal counsels clients on freedom-to-operate, infringement, due diligence, technology licensing, and other intellectual property issues. An ongoing part of his practice involves negotiating, analyzing and drafting technology transfer and licensing agreements.
Among other technologies, he has experience in computer hardware and software, electromechanical devices, biomedical equipment, integrated circuits, and semiconductors.
Before becoming an attorney for Senniger Powers, Mr. Agrawal was Patent Counsel for Nestlé Purina where he managed Nestlé's PetCare global patent portfolio related to pet food and animal litter products; and assisted in patent litigation. Further, Mr. Agrawal was IP counsel for Radix, LLC a global consulting company that commercialized technology from universities in India and China. Mr. Agrawal has also worked for a Chicago law firm where his practice focused on complex patent litigation.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Agrawal worked as an electrical engineer for fifteen years in the defense industry for companies such as Boeing and McDonald Aircraft Company. He also served as a consultant to the U.S. Army for the Apache Longbow Helicopter program overseeing the design and development of software for a new radar system.
Mr. Agrawal is a member of the Association of University Technology Managers.
Community Involvement
- Since 2008, Mr. Agrawal has been a mentor for Innovate Venturing Mentoring Service (IVMS) of St. Louis, where he advises startup companies and individuals regarding intellectual property matters.
- Mr. Agrawal advises startup companies on behalf of the St. Louis Economic Council Enterprise Advisors, and he is on the Advisory Board for the University of Missouri Biodesign and Innovation Program.
- Mr. Agrawal volunteers to answer legal questions presented by the public for KTVI's Call-A-Lawyer program.
- Mr. Agrawal also has completed several appointed cases in Federal Court as a Criminal Justice Attorney in criminal matters.
