Professional Summary

Mr. Tietz’s practice includes all areas of intellectual property law, with emphasis on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the chemical arts in the United States and abroad. Representative areas include industrial chemicals, agricultural chemicals and the processes and apparatus utilized to produce these chemicals.

Concurrently while attending law school, Mr. Tietz worked full time in the environmental engineering field where he was responsible for advising clients through environmental issues during the course of various business transactions as well as managing environmental remediation projects at several industrial facilities in Missouri. Most notably, Mr. Tietz independently designed and performed a human health risk assessment from 2006 to 2007 for a former uranium plant in accordance with EPA Superfund guidance. In 2008, Mr. Tietz was licensed as a Missouri Professional Engineer.

In 2002, Mr. Tietz received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia where he was an Honors Scholar. Mr. Tietz received his Masters of Science in Chemical Engineering in 2003 from the University of Missouri-Columbia. In 2008, Mr. Tietz received his Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University.

Mr. Tietz is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
