Professional Summary

Mr. Hartley focuses his practice on litigating intellectual property disputes, including patent infringement, trademark and trade dress infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, and breach of contract. He has successfully litigated complex patent disputes in district courts throughout the United States. Mr. Hartley also has experience litigating other types of commercial disputes in federal court, including antitrust cases.

Mr. Hartley received Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Sociology in 2000 from Muskingum College, where he graduated magna cum laude. He was a member of Beta Beta Beta Honor Society and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society. He received his Juris Doctorate from Ohio State University in 2003, where he graduated with Honors.

Mr. Hartley is a member of the American Bar Association (litigation and IP litigation committees), the Missouri Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan Saint Louis (Vice-Chair, Patent, Trademark, and Copyright Steering Committee), and a member of AIPLA.
