Senniger Powers is pleased to announce that Elizabeth E. Millard, Ph.D. and William R. Everding have been elected to the partnership effective January 2017. Dr. Millard's practice includes all areas of intellectual property law with a primary emphasis on technologies in the biotechnology, biochemical, and pharmaceutical areas. Her work involves patent preparation and prosecution, invalidity and infringement opinions, and counseling related to patentability and freedom-to-operate. In particular, Dr. Millard has extensive experience in preparing legal opinions in support of Paragraph IV certifications for Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDAs) under the Hatch-Waxman Act.
Mr. Everding's practice focuses on patent law involving the mechanical arts where he has extensive experience assisting clients in identifying patentable subject matter and developing patent portfolio strategies, as well as conducting patentability analyses and preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications. Mr. Everding works with a wide range of technologies including medical devices, commercial food systems, firearm tools and accessories, construction equipment and tools, and pipeline rehabilitation systems.
